Our poor baby girl Pia is going to need knee surgery to correct a patella luxation in her left hind leg. When Pia walks, her knee pops in and out of its socket which caused the cartilage in her knee to deteriorate. This then causes a bone on bone scraping action as she does not have any cartilage left in her knee. It is heartbreaking as a mother of her first child (that being a furbaby) to limp around in pain and not being able to help take that pain away. She has been in a lot of pain the past few weeks and her Orthopedic Surgeon recommended we have surgery right away. Also if we wait any longer to have the surgery, it can actually be a more complicated surgery and cost us even more money. We do not want Pia to be in anymore pain so we have scheduled her surgery for Thursday, April 2nd.  I had an internal fight with myself about whether I should create this GoFundMe account for Pia’s surgery but with the high cost of surgery and her pet insurance not covering the surgery - we are asking for help! Any amount you can donate to help Pia walk again without pain, would help us out tremendously and be greatly appreciated!
