On Friday our dad, Chris Laux, was admitted into the ICU for what they thought was a stroke. After many tests they found blood clots in his brain and one on his lungs and multiple in his leg. He is currently in Westchester Medical and just got taken out of ICU. He is having trouble talking and remembering a lot of things. Hopefully within the next few days he will be going to Helen Hayes to start his recovery. A bunch of tests have already been done and a lot more to come to figure out where the clots are coming from. They are expecting 3-6 months to start regaining his speech and thought process and a long process to totally recover from the hemorrhaging. He has a long road to recovery and any help towards medical bills would help tremendously and he will be so thankful for everyone's help
