After the recent earthquake in Panama, Pastor C.A. and Irma Murray (recently retired from 3ABN) are desperately in need of funds for plaster and stucco repair. They have no funds to complete the building of their home, and there is no FEMA assistance in Panama. They are currently living in a tiny bedroom in a family member's home, and her 99 year old mother is also sharing this tiny room with them. They desperately need funds for stucco and wall crack repair (approximately 80% of the stucco and walls had to be redone) and the remainder will go to complete the renovation which will include items such as plumbing electrical kitchen necessities ceiling and floor.
This Seventh-day Adventist Pastor and his wife have worked unselfishly serving others, now it's time for us to do our part to help them in their time of need, which is a Biblical principle. Please consider the following when making your decision to help.
1 John 3:17 says "But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?'
James 2:14-17 says "What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."
"It is not the plan of God to rain down means from heaven in order that His cause may be sustained. He has entrusted, or deposited, ample means with men, that there shall be no lack in any department of His work. He proves those who profess to love Him by placing means in their hands, and then tries them to see if they love the gift better than the Giver." 2T 659
