Nikita's Surgery Fund

Donation protected
Hey there! I am seeking help with the deposit for an MRI and surgery for my sweet kitty Nikita. She's had a swift decline in health in the past few weeks and her condition has been extremely concerning. In a recent exam with a neurologist, they highly suspected that she has a non-cancerous brain tumor but an MRI is needed to confirm this and see if it can be removed.

The neurologist believes she has a good chance of survival and for her to be cured completely if she can have surgery, as this suspected type of tumor in cats is somewhat common. If she's not able to have surgery, she will remain on steroids for brain inflammation as a palliative treatment until she passes or her quality of life requires euthanasia. She's been given at max a 6 month life expectancy in this case, but I fear it may be a lot sooner if she can't be treated, based on her current state.

Regarding finances, I have an account with CareCredit but it is currently maxed out from a previous dental cleaning for my other cat, and I was not approved for a credit increase. I also was not able to be approved for ScratchPay, unfortunately. However, I spoke with the financial department at the vet hospital and confirmed that if I can come up with half of the cost of the MRI and half of the cost of her surgery, I can have her be treated and make payments on the rest. Time truly feels of the essence right now. In total, I would need $4,500 deposited.

If, for some reason, you feel more comfortable donating directly to my account with the vet hospital, they will accept credit/debit card donations over the phone. Their info is listed below:

Vet Hospital: Animal Medical Center of Seattle with Dr. Austin Kerns (Neurologist).
Phone number: 2 0 6 - 2 0 4 - 3 3 6 6
Address: 17518 15th Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155

The account for Nikita should be under my name, Ciara Reyes.

If she is unable to be treated and is placed on palliative care, some of the funds will be used for palliative medication expenses, vet bills accrued in the interim, at-home euthanasia when the time comes, cremation costs, and to cover the expense of missed work for bereavement leave, as I am self-employed with no savings or benefits. I will do my best to return what remains to those who have donated.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or helpful info! Thank you so much for your time and help.
