My name is Maggie and, as many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with uterine and ovarian cancer last year. She had surgery, went through the chemotherapy, had a colostomy bag, had more surgery, and went through so much in between. We thought she had it beat, but when she went back, she was told that it had returned with a vengeance. It has spread into her lymph node system so the doctors have told her that surgery is not an option. She is back to doing chemotherapy. The doctors have said that the chemo should slow the cancer down, but they are only giving her 12-18 months.
My goal with this fund is to make sure that funeral costs will be covered, and maybe a little extra to help her with a few other things. As many of you also know, my mom is a stubborn woman and wants to take care of as much as she can while she can. She is trying to lessen the burden on us kids, so I want to help her do that. Maybe then she will actually relax. I want the quality of the life she has to be the best it can be, and stressing over bills is not the way to accomplish that. We all appreciate any help you can give us and thank you all in advance.
