On December 22nd, at just 49 years old, our cousin Jamie Beckett suffered a sudden and life-altering stroke. He was life-flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, where his family faced the terrifying uncertainty that comes with such a critical emergency.
Thankfully, Jamie survived. While the stroke affected the left side of his body, he has shown incredible strength and determination throughout his recovery. After his initial hospitalization, Jamie was transferred to Encompass Rehabilitation, where he spent several weeks in intensive inpatient rehab. Through hard work and perseverance, he made meaningful progress, including increased mobility in his left leg.
Jamie is now home and continuing outpatient rehabilitation, committed to working as hard as possible to regain full use of his left side and return to daily life. His recovery is ongoing and will take time, dedication, and continued medical care.
As with many extended illnesses, the financial impact has been significant. Between medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and lost wages, the burden has continued to grow.
We are raising funds to help support Jamie and his family during this challenging time. Contributions will go directly toward medical expenses and lost income, allowing Jamie to focus on healing and recovery without the added stress of financial strain.
Any donation — and even sharing this fundraiser — is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your kindness, support, and for standing with Jamie as he continues this journey forward.
