My Daughter and Son In Law’s house was flooded by a thunderstorm that passed through Lafayette La. early Thursday morning. Being their home is in flood zone x they did not purchase flood insurance. This is their first home, and they just moved in February of this year. Today we had to move them to a temp home until we can dry and reconstruct their home. They are also expecting a baby in August. We have started cutting Sheetrock and drying the structure. Once dried we will begin rebuilding their home so that they can get back to some sort of normality before the baby is born.
