Breast Cancer Fight

On November 29th my mother went for a mammogram and immediately knew she had cancer. The dr rushed the process and the next day she had a biopsy and was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in her right breast. She started the process of all the appointments with the plastic surgeon and ongologist. Driving 300 miles round trip for each visit because her Dr's are in Ga and she recently moved to SC.
Due to her previous cancer and family history 4x on dad's side and 1x on moms. They highly suggested a double mastectomy.

So on Jan 28th the day after her 47th birthday she had both her breast removed and one lymph node. This has been really hard on her financially her job had just went to part time right before she found out she had cancer and emotionally she has always been the strong one and tried to pretend everything is ok but with the financial burden this is going to be hard for her to be strong during her journey. She is out of work. Insurance is paying 80% but she still has a lot to pay and co pay and gas and medicines.
