My name is Raquel and I am starting this campaign on behalf of my mother who was diagnosed with dissecting aorta and had an open heart surgery last February 20, 2015. My mom is a tourist in Canada and was operated here.

My husband and I and our 6-year old daughter are grateful that the prognosis for my mom is okay, however, the financial burden is great which caused us a lot of stress. With this being said, I am reaching out for help to minimize the stress factor on a big hospital bill and out of pocket medical expenses along with the fact that mom is going to stay here til her condition is okay to fly back to the Philippines where she lives.  I also would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your love, support, generosity and well wishes for us as we go through this.
