Hi my name is Savannah but most know me Sav! Drew (my husband) and I are raising funds to help us get back home to Louisiana! After serving in the military for 6 years my husband decided once he got out we were going to move to Colorado to get a fresh start! Unfortunately a few months after moving my husband got let go from the company he worked for because honestly they were a shitty company and decided that people are in fact disposable so a day before thanksgiving he lost his job. All the resources that are suppose to help Americans in this situation have yet to provide any relief. Since then he has been applying to every job he can think of and doing all we can to make ends meet. I received a promotion shortly after my husband got fired so we thought we would be able to make it work. My promotion was suppose to come with a $900 bonus meaning that things would be tight but we would have a roof over our heads. At last corporate America fucked us again and my employer decided that my promotion does in fact not come with a bonus just a shit ton of more work. These past two weeks I worked for 100 hours and still can not pay our basic living costs. We’ve come to the conclusion that Colorado probably isn’t the place for us and what we need right now is a safe place to regroup, get our feet under us, and breath. The $5000 that I’m attempting to raise will cover a moving truck, the ability to break our lease, and gas to make the 16 hour drive. We are doing everything we can to simply stay alive and someone once told me the bravest thing you can do sometimes is ask for help, so that’s what we are doing. we are just two kids who are in love and trying to get out of a very messy situation.
