Donation protected
It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts to announce the passing of our beloved Danielle Wathen Padgett. A loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and friend to many that loved her. She leaves behind 5 precious children that were her entire world. She cherished them more than anything and now they need help during these difficult times. Please consider donating if you are able. Any contributions are greatly appreciated and will help immensely with her services. We are very grateful for every donation during these times.
Thank you everyone for all the love and prayers.
With Love, The Family

Update :Mary Lee Danielle Wathen Padgett, 37, of Colonial Beach, Virginia, was called home on February 22, 2023. Born on November 16, 1985 in La Plata, Maryland, she is the daughter of John “Billy” Wathen and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Katsakis. With a steadfast passion for helping others, Danielle volunteered as an EMT in La Plata before devoting her life to motherhood and the beautiful children who made her prouder and happier than anything in this world. She also held secretarial positions, tended bar at Blue Dog Saloon, and gleefully jumped at the chance to babysit for others any time she could. She adored babies, panda bears, Pepsi, cats, music, the show Friends, fresh manicured nails, and her kids above all else. As a beloved mother, daughter, wife, sister, relative, and friend with a deeply generous heart and loving soul, she is missed by many and will be cherished forever. In addition to her father Billy and his wife Laura Carter Wathen, her mother Beth and her husband Nicholas Katsakis, Danielle is survived by her husband Jimmy Padgett; daughters Ryhan “Ryh-Ryh” Alynn, Journey “Jay” Lynn, and Billie “Bo-Bo” Love; sons Ghavin “Bub-Bub” James and Camden “Cam-John”; sisters Gabrielle Wathen and Hannah Wathen; brothers Anthony Katsakis and Christopher Wathen; cousin Emma Austin and littlest love Sebastian “Khar-Khar” Austin; best friend Megan Collier plus numerous other cousins, relatives, and dear friends. Danielle is preceded in passing by her heavenly baby daughter Angel Wathen Padgett; grandmother Mary Rose Henderson; grandfathers Jerry “Grandaddy” Wathen, Allen “PaPa” Austin, Anthony “PopPop” Katsakis; and more loved ones she cared for. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 5PM until time of service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on Danielle’s behalf to Pandas International, a non-profit organization focused on ensuring the preservation and propagation of the endangered Giant Panda, a cause very near and dear to her heart.
