I NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE MY STUDIES IN ADVERTISING AND MARKETING AT UCF
COLLEGE TUITION COST: $44,000 (to complete the course)
My name is Gabriel Vieira, better known on Instagram (@gabevieiral) as Bluebird. I'm from Brazil and I came to the US with a dream of getting a bachelor’s degree. I was diagnosed with autism (Asperger Syndrome) 5 years ago, and since then, I’ve done the impossible to achieve my goals. Since I came to the United States, I’ve been working really hard at my job in the library of Valencia College. Still, unfortunately, my studies became impossible due to my family’s financial resources in order to continue my studies. I've always had to overcome a lot! Especially academically, where my parents and I had to fight for my rights and academic adjustments. When I was 18 years old, I DECIDED THAT I WAS GOING TO STUDY IN THE UNITED STATES! Even though I came from a family that couldn't afford to pay my expenses in another country, I decided that somehow I would make it! I was accepted into more than 5 American colleges and won a very competitive and selective scholarship for outstanding students. And not only did I excel academically, I was also HIRED to be the college's SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADOR. At the time, I only had 2,000 followers, but the college dean saw my potential on the internet and invited me directly to represent their Instagram and even get paid for it. However, the pressure of loneliness ended up developing severe anxiety and panic attacks, for which I was hospitalized at the time. I couldn't continue... BUT I NEVER GAVE UP! I had to return to Brazil in a hurry, and it was definitely the hardest time of my life, as I saw one of my biggest dreams disappear... But not forever! When I turned 20 years old in 2023, my mother decided to embark on this journey to help me realize this dream. Since then, I have been studying at Valencia College, in Orlando. I have completed half of my college degree, but I still have 2 years to go to get my bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations. I intend to complete the other half at UCF (University of Central Florida). For the past year and a half, I have been working hard at my job in the library at my old college (Valencia College), and I was able to pay the tuition fees because it was affordable. However, in order to graduate, I need to go to UCF. And even though I don't have enough resources to make that happen, I won't give up! The scholarships for Brazilians that were granted to international students who had to pay the price as a Florida resident were banned by the government, which made my studies even more expensive. I REVOLUTIONIZED MY LIFE BECAUSE OF THIS AND I CAN'T STOP! I created an English mentoring program at my school when I was studying in Brazil, I gave lectures to other Brazilian students who had the same dream, I was an English teacher for underprivileged children and teenagers, I created content on Instagram for young people about how to study in the United States, I was a journalist and I interviewed students from renowned colleges to help others achieve this reality too. The truth is: I DID THE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ALL OF THIS! And I will be extremely grateful for your help as I try to continue my studies
I need to raise 44,000 dollars which is exactly the amount of the monthly payments to complete the last 2 years of college. I count on the help of each one of you, whether by donating or sharing my story.
