My wife Cecilia had an infection called necrotizing fasciitis. It caused her to become septic and led to 5 surgical procedures that resulted in the amputation of her right buttock tissue down to the muscle. She will require tons of wound care, skin grafts, and physical therapy to gain function and return to normal life. We will also need to move to a more accessible place on the ground level. She has been hospitalized in MUSC Charleston for over a month now with multiple weeks to come. The sheer cost of me remaining at her side is a lot. Her aftercare will be staggering. Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.
