Heartbreaking story that no one wants to hear but I need help. A brown dog had been roaming near our house since last week. We’ve chased him on the highway, backroads, etc. He was scared, malnourished, and suffering in the cold. Yesterday around 4 pm, I went to my backyard to find him standing there. All of a sudden, he collapsed to the ground. Within seconds, he was unable to lift his head/body and could not eat or drink. We rushed him to the emergency vet because it was like he knew where to get help! Days of being terrified and on his last leg, he came for help.
Vet suspects he got hit by a car. He had a collapsed lung, which made them have to relieve air out of his chest cavity. Within 15 minutes, he was improving on breathing. They kept him overnight to keep an eye on him for any other worries.
Now here we are with an estimate of a $3,500 vet bill to save his life.
We had to pay $2,000 upfront (had to put that on a credit card).
We are in need of help saving this baby. I will gladly give him a loving home to give him the life he deserves in the first place. They said he’s no more than a year old. He deserves a chance.
Anything helps.
the emergency vet he is at is Upstate Emergency Vet in Greenville right off of 385 hwy. He is under “puppy” if you would like to make a donation from there.
