Meaghan’s Fight
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Peter, and I’m reaching out on behalf and in support of my daughter, Meaghan. She’s 28 years old and was recently diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. What began as a small concern quickly escalated into a whirlwind of tests, biopsies, MRIs, and PET/CT scans. We’ve since learned there is a chance it could be bilateral breast cancer, with aggressive features. Meaghan will be facing major surgery, and potentially chemotherapy and radiation. While the full plan is still unfolding, a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction has been scheduled for the end of May. It’s clear this will be a long and challenging journey for her.
Meaghan is a dedicated mental health teacher and also works part-time at a restaurant. She loves what she does, but she will be stepping away from both jobs for upwards of 6–9 months to focus on her health. Like many young adults, she supports herself; paying her own rent, bills, groceries, and more—and the added burden of travel and parking costs for treatment is quickly adding up.
Many people have asked how they can help. Honestly, this is one of the biggest ways. Every contribution will go directly toward helping Meaghan cover:
• Basic living expenses while she is unable to work
• Travel and parking costs for appointments
• Medications and post-surgery supplies
• Anything else she may need to stay afloat during this battle
It’s not easy for us to ask for help, but we know that no one fights alone. If you are not in a position to donate, even sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with Meaghan as she takes on this fight.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Peter
