Sara's cancer journey

Hi, my name is Victoria and I am fundraising for Sara and her family.

I met Sara in 2019. She was a creative fashion designer looking to establish her own brand of dancewear. Her creative spirit and love of life was obvious from the moment we met. By early 2020, we had started to work together - through my business, we would become distributors of her new dance and activewear brand - UActiv. Her designs were beautiful and an instant hit with dancers. Launching her first collection in the midst of a pandemic was not easy but Sara was determined to make it work. Over the next 2 years, she launched four beautiful collections (see here - www.uactiv.com.au).

Sadly, at the end of 2021, Sara was diagnosed with brain cancer. Despite the diagnosis and the poor prognosis given to her, Sara did not lose hope and kept fighting against the disease with all that she could. She kept designing new collections, she danced, she sang and she spent time with her beautiful partner, Oscar and her mother, who travelled from Columbia to be with her.

Sadly, Sara has now been transferred to palliative care having exhausted all possible avenues for treatment. We are devastated that her beautiful creative soul is being taken much too young and would like to do what we can to help Sara and her family meet the burden of the costs they have faced and continue to face over her cancer journey.
