Love for the Lills

My name is Lisa Hersh and Kelly Lill is my coworker and more importantly, one of my closest friends. I am heart broken by what this amazing family has been dealing with since they endured a terrible tragedy. On the morning of Monday December 12, 2016 on his way to school, the Lill's 11 year old son, Gavin, was struck by a car while crossing the street in front of Upper Perkiomen Middle School in East Greenville, Pa. He was immediately taken to Lehigh Valley hospital where the Lills learned he suffered extensive injuries. Gavin had a broken femur in his right leg that recquired surgery to put a rod in while at Lehigh Valley. He was then transferred to CHOP in Philadelphia where he has endured two more surgeries to put two screws in the orbital floor of his eye as well as having pins placed in his left humorous that was displaced from his shoulder. Gavin also has a fracture in his right leg, a broken vertebrae in his back, a fractured pelvis, a broken scapula in his right shoulder, a bleed in his belly, a concussion as well as road rash. With broken bones in almost every part of his body, Gavin has a long road ahead. It hasn't been determined how long he will remain in the hospital but Kelly and Jamie, his mom and dad, have not left his side. The medical expenses will continue to add up.
