Hi folks - My name is Carrie Redmon and I am raising money on behalf of my boyfriend Nick Walters. 

 

On Saturday December 10th around 1:30 AM he lost his apartment in the Whispering Hills neighborhood of Bowling Green, KY to a devastating tornado. Although we were able to recover most of his clothes, personal items and everything in his kitchen, he lost all of his furniture, his TV, his laptop and all four of the bikes that he uses to train for triathlons. We are so thankful he is alive as many in his neighborhood were extremely less fortunate.

 

He is grateful to all those who have offered to do laundry, help purchase toiletries and begin fundraising efforts via Venmo. We’re hoping this will be a more organized way to coordinate with those of you who want to offer him assistance. With any money raised, he will be purchasing items to furnish his new apartment.

 

Additionally, we would love to get his four bikes looked at in hopes of possibly repairing them! He has a Trek 1.2, a Trek caliber 7 mountain bike, a Fuji time trial bike and a Giant TCR advanced pro 1. If anyone has contacts in the bike repair industry, please let us know. He already signed up for his first half Ironman next May and would love to be able to still train this spring. I also argue his bikes are like his children and quite honestly more important to him than any of the items he lost. But hey! It took him years to save for those bikes so I get it!
