Hey, My name is Jami, I’m a Paramedic currently located in the Virgin Islands. The Sunday before Thanksgiving, the gentlemen pictured above, Leo, had a heart attack and had to be flown from the island to Miami, where he is still currently located with his wife and was just released from the hospital yesterday, 12/9/22, after a triple bypass, blood clot and infection, he is expected to be in the states through Christmas and the New Year. Leo and Anne Marie have two younger children, 16 & 12, and they have not seen each other since the incident. Both have given over 50 combined years of service to the Virgin Islands and were both within days of retiring.

Leo and his family are our family; when one hurts, we all hurt. I know it’s Christmas time but let’s not forget what Christmas is really about: family, friends, love and support. Saying that, I want to be able to give them a present…to be able to see their kids and to be able to ease their mind of finances right now. Anyone who has had medical procedures done, knows the expense. So let’s do what we can and help them out…and as always, prayers are always welcome!!!

Update 12/13/22: I personally spoke with Leo today and they he wanted me to reach out to everyone. He is very grateful and thankful to everyone for all of the help and prayers!
