As I Sit to contemplate my story I smile for I have been Blessed each and every day.
I have an amazing partner whom I have been married to for 17 years and through this Love we have created four beautiful, compassionate, extroidinary children.
We have always dreamed big dreams of owning our own land and eventually our own house a true place to call our Home.Throughout our journey We have encountered countless joys and have wheathered countless tribulations but have always known that no matter where we layed our heads that we carried our Home within.
So that being said I fast forward to my current reality.
I have always had a passion for Helping People find their inner Joy through Fashion.I played dress up from the beginnings of my memories and always loved to make others feel Beautiful. With the help of friends and Community I opened a fun and funky recycled clothing store.
This became a place of Love,of compassion and a way to share my passion. It became a space where children and families could come and feel safe.A place where you could find a treasure that made you feel beautiful within and without. It was a Community hub. This store took on a life of its own and within its 7 years countless lives were changed. It was not only a store front but a haven for council,a space for nursing moms to feel welcome,a place where kids waited to be picked up,a place where everyone was welcome to receive a kind word to take refuge and a place you could always come if you were in need of a friend or a free piece of clothing or shoes because I always held an open heart and a kind word and knew hard times often fall on us all.I heard countless stories, heartaches, and accomplishments.I held people's stories as treasures they felt safe to share with me and I feel like I was able to make a difference .
I provided this heart space for 7 years when I was called to close the doors to come home to care for my own Family.
My Family regrouped and realized that we needed to care for one another in a way that was neglected while I was away at work.So we set off to recognize our Dreams. After 7 years of renting we were presented a Blessing.
A 2 acre property became available and the owner was willing to work with us toward owning our own home.A Mother's Dream.
I painted and scrubbed unpacked boxes that had been stored away. laid quilts on our beds, bedtime stories and dreams were becoming a reality. There were fruit trees to climb, gardens to plant and happiness was in the air.In four months we found out the promises made to our family were not to be kept, and on March 1 2015 we found out the house had been sold to another Family. We have 30 days to move and this home would no longer be ours.
So I sit here tenderly packing our dreams back into boxes and in my Heart I know there is a divine plan for my family.
Just yesterday a friend remembered another family who was selling a converted Bus. She contacted them for us.This was a dream come true.I went to visit with them and saw my Home.A Dream on wheels you could say. As I sat with this Mother she shared with me how her family of six had lived within these walls. All I can say is I felt joy and Hope and knew this was to be our new, Home.It is beautiful I sat with this mother and we exchanged stories she shared her story of love with me,you could feel it within this home laughter, children, and a new hope washed over me.Everything was going to be alright. We asked what they wanted for the bus and although we knew the asking price was totally fair we knew it was not at all in our financial means. It was too late I . as in love and a friend quickly offered to let us park it on there property to get our feet back on the ground. This bus has everything .A generator enough room for us all,a bathroom beds abound, beautiful kitchen a place to wash clothing it truly is perfect for us.I know my children would be happy within its walls. This would make this transition smooth and I could feel the warmth this would bring.I felt safe and secure within this bus and had to find a way to create this home for my children.
This is where you come in.It is my turn to humble myself and ask for a hand, for a kind thought or a blessing if that is what you have to give. I know if this is to be our home my Mamma fierce heart and all of yours will help it manifest.. .
As I look at each of my children I once again feel nothing but Blessed. So I humbly ask and thank you for anything you can give.No amount is too small for we know a puddle can cause a wave.My son realized if 2300 families could give $15 dollars we could realize our Dream so I Thankyou for hearing my story, and for taking time out of yours.I wish for you Love, and compassion, safety, and nurturing because as long as we have one another we have LOVE.
Blessings on your own Journey,Always Joyelle and Family.
