I have started this Go Fund Me page to help my sister a single mom and sole provider for 3 children. Mary was diagnosed with Lobular Carcinoma Breast Cancer which has gone into her lymph nodes. She is scheduled for a double mastectomy. The contributions will aide in medical & cost of living expenses while she is out of work, in followups & recovery pending all goes smoothly and no other cancer is detected in surgery.

Had my first Taxol infusion last night...
I have to admit I had a pity party of dread before they started because I am paranoid about putting toxins in my body. The nurse was wonderful & prayed with me. Other patients consoled me. They gave me ice packs for my fingers & toes to help with retaining them over time.
My reaction was good for first round...the usual ...flushing, hot hands & toes, cough, & Hot flashes. I felt a little burning at the site, headaches, diarrhea & tired. They add steroids to ward of some pains & symptoms. I survived took a few hours. Woke up this morning...Hot flashes, slight neuropathy sunburned feeling, but slept okay & was hungry....good ole steroids. They will deplenish in 24 hrs then I may experience side affects....God is good.....Will go wig shopping on Monday...uggh.....If all goes well this week, I will head home & come 1x week for 12 weeks...Then will start the "Red Devil" 1x every 3 wks which I have been told is the worst. Everyone responds differently...sfter that will have surgery & radiation. Then one more Chemo....
I waited so long to do anything about this....Even if you think you just have a fibroid or fatty tumor...GET IT CHECKED or biopsied. This cancer I have is hard to detect & 5 to 10 % of women get Invasive Lobular carcinoma. I am stage 3 with Lymph nodes...Thankful the Bone scans were good. Doctor intouch daily & feels he can heal me ...Love this place!
