Help get a one-hour special on sibling sexual abuse to air

Most people have never heard the term Sibling Sexual Abuse (SSA) — even though it's one of the most common and least talked about forms of abuse affecting families today.
I'm Nancy Morris, a survivor of sibling sexual abuse and the founder of the #SiblingsToo Project (2017), created to change the silence surrounding this issue.
This summer, I've been invited to appear on An Hour to Give — a respected local TV program aired by a national Canadian broadcaster that features in-depth conversations with changemakers across our community. It's hosted by Sam Laprade, a well-known journalist and a friend of the #SiblingsToo Project.
The opportunity? A full one-hour broadcast dedicated entirely to sibling sexual abuse.
But this isn’t just about awareness. It’s about reframing the whole conversation.
On this episode, Sam and I will talk about how SSA affects survivors, families, and society as a whole. I’ll share stories from my life and work, insights from international experts, and evidence from academic research.
And I’ll challenge a deeper truth: that it’s our collective silence, misunderstanding, and lack of knowledge that truly allow this issue to persist.
This is about breaking the cycle — not blaming people.
The total cost to participate in this special broadcast is $2,950 + tax, and while I’ll receive all of the media assets — including the full interview footage and promotional commercials — I can’t fund this alone. Your support will help make this broadcast possible.
Every dollar goes further:
$25 helps cover post-production and social media marketing
$100 supports airtime for one segment
$300+ funds a major portion of the broadcast and helps amplify this message beyond the show itself
If we exceed our goal, any remaining funds will go toward producing future #SiblingsToo resources and planning for SiblingsToo Day 2026 (April 15th) — ensuring this conversation doesn't end with just one interview.
Whether you donate or simply share this campaign, you’re helping move the topic forward.
You're helping create a world that responds to sibling sexual abuse with knowledge, compassion, and courage.
Thank you for standing with me,
— Nancy
