My name is Tod Stillson MD and Michael Hundt is a cousin of mine who I grew up with in Bremen, Indiana.
With Bremen being a small close knit community, and since we are only 1 year apart in age, we have many shared family, community, and school memories that support our long standing friendship.
Michael has had several surgeries and medical problems related to his ulcerative colitis but recently was found to be in liver failure related to primary biliary sclerosis, a complication of UC.
He currently is having his liver drained through tubes in his side and is working with the Cleveland Clinic to arrange for a liver transplant in order to save his life. It is hoped that his daughter, Allison, will be able to serve as a living donor for the transplant. What a couragious and precious sacrifce for her dad!
Michael and his wife Karen hope to get the transplant going at the first of the year as they navigate through the evaluation at the Cleveland Clinic at the end of 2015.
Due this complex process, the time off work for both Michael and Karen (Michael is unable to work at this time), and other related medical and travel expenses they are in need of approximately $21,000 to help support them between their home in Bremen, Indiana and the Cleveland Clinic (5 hours away) over the next several months.
Your generous support and prayers for Michael, Karen, Allison and their family wil be greatly appreciated.
Through your financial help, you will allow Michael to focus on preparing for, undergoing, and recovering from the Liver Transplant. And you will help Allison in her process of donating part of her liver to her dad.
God Bless You.
