Dear friends and all people who care!!! I have made this gofundme page on behalf of Diana and Vasyl'( Alinka's parents). They are desperately in need as their 3 year old daughter Alina was diagnosed with Chordoma (a very rare type of cancer) 1 year ago and went through major surgery in March 2015 in in Regensburg, Germany. Now Alinka is recovering from a surgery and will need to go through course of very expensive proton therapy. I would be so grateful for anything anyone could spare to help them, your donation will help with travel expenses, medical bills and loss of wages during this traumatic time. If you cannot afford to help with money then please SHARE my fund and BLESS their family with your prayers for Alinka as she has a long fight ahead of her. Thank you so much for reading her story. Please donate and help this wonderful family. Below is Alinka's story.
Alina was born and lives in Ukraine, my native country. I am asking for your HELP today to save this girl. She is 3 years old precious girl, who is suffering from very rare type of cancer CHORDOMA( you can find more info about it clicking on the links: http://www.chordomafoundation.org/understanding-chordoma/,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chordoma.
Chordoma is not treated in Ukraine, so her parents had to take their baby abroad. For the first surgery she went to Hungary, surgery was succesfull and Alina felt much better, but in few month tumor grew back and she couldnt move, she couldn't even swallow, Alina needed another surgery. Alina was taken to Germany, where she recently survived one of the longest and complicated surgeries I have ever heard about, which lasted 18,5 hours. Surgeons were able to remove the biggest part of a tumor, but there is still 4mm left, because that part of a tumor is not possible to remove with a surgery due to where it is situated. Now Alina is recovering from the surgery and she need to be treated with radiation and chemo therapy ASAP before the tumor starts to grow back( and this type of tumor does grow back very fast). She has to be treated abroad, because in Ukraine this kind of therapies are not available yet. The treatments and therapies are very expensive, only proton radiation therapy costs is57,000.00€ euros and chemotherapy 3,000.00€ plus each day of staying in hospital in Germany.
Alinas parents sold everything they had, including their house and a car and went to live with their parents in a village. People from Ukraine, Russia and Europe helped them to collect money for both surgeries mentioned earlier. I am asking you my friends to donate as much as you can to help this innocent child, even $1 will mean a lot for her. She deserves to live and be happy as any child in this world!
