Help Armando Walk!
Donation protected

I would like to tell you about a very special 4 year old little boy named Armando. As most of you know, I am Jennifer Cintron, Armando's aunt and my cousin Veronica is his godmother. Armando was born at just 24 weeks weighing only one pound, twelve ounces. As a result, he has developmental delays, chronic lung disease and cerebral palsy.
Armando receives speech, occupational and physical therapy along with hippotherapy on a regular basis. In August of 2018, Armando went to Florida for 4 weeks (with his godmother) to receive intensive Pediasuit therapy which had promising results. We are hopeful and believe that if we can continue the therapy, Armando will be walking in one year's time.
This non-traditional therapy is not offered in Maryland and we have to pay for equipment and training of therapists. Unfortunately, it is extremely costly but needs to continue to help Armando learn to walk, give him the independence he craves and to allow him to have all the same opportunities as his rambunctious two year old younger brother Alejandro.
Armando is definitely a miracle baby and in the spirit of Thanksgiving this year, we hope you would consider making a donation to help this amazing cause. There are so many things we take for granted and the life of a special needs family is extremely difficult.
Not only does it come with an unsurmountable amount of expenses, but its mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting as every day is filled with therapy, doctor appointments, procedures and new diagnoses along the way. Armando's mother is and active duty service member and his father is a disabled veteran.
We appreciate the time you took to read this and wish you and your families a most Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.
