Jeremiah's Motorcycle Accident

Family, friends, and loved ones. We are asking for your help. On August 11, 2015, Jeremiah Caster was involved in a 7 vehicle accident on U.S Highway 19. He was on his way home on his motorcycle and stopped at a red light when he was hit from behind and thrown from his bike. According to the police report, the driver who hit him was suspected to be under the influence at the time. After hitting Jeremiah, the driver at fault continued to crash into several cars in front of him.

Jeremiah suffered multiple injuries including, a broken tibia and fibula, fractures to 3 vertebrae, fractured ribs, a punctured lung, and some minimal internal trauma. He has undergone surgery on his left leg and has been in ICU since the accident. As of right now, it's undetermined how much longer his stay may be. He is expected to undergo a fair amount of physical therapy in an inpatient facility once he is released from the hospital.

We have since learned that the driver who caused the accident was not only driving on a suspended license, he was also uninsured. This is devastating news for us as we are now responsible for a good amount of the hospital bills.

We thank God that he is alive today and is continuing to make progress. However, this accident has been a huge set back for Miah.

This Gofundme account has been set up to ease the financial burden by covering some medical/every day expenses associated with his accident and inability to work. The rehab facility he will be released to is asking for $2,500 upfront before he can  be admitted. Getting him into this facility is imparitive, as he will require the extensive therapy to walk again and build strength.
