Returning to San Vicente, Mexico
Donation protected
I am very excited and blessed to have the opportunity to return with my church’s mission team to San Vicente, Mexico for my second year, June 29th – July 11th. Last year was completely amazing, beautiful and wonderful. God’s presence was so powerful and He helped us through each and every step we made. He made it possible for us to complete work that was impossible to complete with the time and man power we had. He took what little we were and used us so mightily. I didn’t want to leave when the trip was over. The people of San Vicente stole my heart and I have been prayerfully awaiting my return. God has revealed to me that He wants me to return to those relationships I started last summer and to create new relationships when I return this summer. Last year I participated in holding vacation bible school for over a 100 children from the town, I was able to spend time with the women and children of the safe home, to speak at a local rehab and share my experience as a recovering addict saved by Grace, go into labor camps and feed starving children and their families, most importantly I was able to shine the light of Jesus Christ and share hope with so many!
I am so grateful that my church Calvary Chapel of Bellmawr has continued year after year for 15 years to return to this place and pour into the people there, the church Capilla Calvario San Vicente, the women and children refuge Casa Del Pastor, and the town of San Vicente. It is through this commitment that the people have been touched and changed. The church has been fortified. The children have this constant in their life; Calvary Chapel Bellmawr has become their family.
The true magnitude of God’s glory cannot be expressed in mere words – my words do not even begin to do it justice. In my experience I have seen this glory and I am writing to you to ask for your prayers and support as I follow God’s direction and take the steps necessary to return to San Vicente. So if you pray, please pray for me and the team and the people and church of San Vicente. Prayer is so powerful, it truly changes lives, mine included. I am still amazed as I look back at my life, how great God is and how he has pulled me out of the muck and mire and set my feet upon a rock, He has given me the ability to do amazing work in my life, a life that was once empty and hopeless only seeking self has been transformed into a life that breathes to serve others.
I ask if you have the ability to contribute to my trip and the town and church of San Vicente that you would consider giving a financial donation in any amount. The total cost of the trip for me individually is 1500, anything above that would be a blessing to the people of San Vicente. Thank you.
With so much love and gratitude, Heather Romando
