Bring Larry Home

On Saturday, April 10, I came home to find my husband, Larry ill and getting worse by the moments. It's sad to think that I hesitated to call 911. I knew his illness was not COVID 19 related. But I also knew that the separation from him going into the hospital would have a huge impact on our family. It was truly a hard pill to swallow but I found solace in the fact that he would be treated and coming home soon, so we were told. Well, it seems him coming home isn't that simple. I've been asked to make another decision. I've been asked to choose between sending him to a rehab facility for 6 weeks or have him come home and pay out of pocket for his treatment. Unfortunately, his insurance does not pay for his services to be rendered at home. With the alarming COVID cases spreading to long term facilities in NJ we were asked to agree to send him to a facility where I know he would be put at risk and not see him during his time there for treatment. This by far has been one of the toughest decisions to make. But we've decided that we need to bring him home. So I'm asking for everyone's help to do so. I realize that this has been a hardship for many families and I hate to even ask with the question. But I felt the need to at least try and allow everyone to help if they so wish. We've pulled from other resources to be able to provide the bulk of services but we still need significant help. No amount is too small in helping our efforts. Please help us bring him home.
