Dear Friends and Family,

Over the past months, my amazing husband and positive person, Dan, has been struggling with his health.

In April he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma - which is cancer of the bone marrow. Through this journey there has been lots of positives. Dan has been responding well to his chemo therapy treatment once a week on Wednesdays since April.

The treatment was working and his last biopsy showed a considerable decrease in cancer cells.

But then, three weeks ago Dan developed pneumonia and since then his white blood cell count has been very low and making him very sick.

He has low energy, fights nauseousness, dizziness and due to his visual impairment cannot be left unattended to prevent falls and further injury.

Being by his side and watching him fight this with humor and hope, makes me love him even more every day.

I'm reaching out now because the amount of care that Dan needs at this time makes it impossible for me to continue to work. Currently I've missed weeks of work and income.

Through this journey and the focus on his care, we've also become quite isolated. Our first need is to ask for encouraging messages that I can read to Dan each day - this really boosts his spirits.

Our second ask is financial. These days are precious and essential to his healing journey and I need to be by his side.

Dan's diet is very limited due to the diabetes and multiple myeloma so no help with meals is needed.
