Fight like Mike

As most of you have seen by now, Michael Wienhoff was diagnosed on 09/24/2020 with stage 3 rectal cancer. Michael is a 35 year old father, life partner, son, brother, uncle & friend to many. He’s always been one to help with anyone who needed it. Now, he is facing challenges himself & we as his family are asking for help from our community. Unfortunately, at the time of his diagnosis he was uninsured and still is, so all medical expenses and prescription cost will come out of pocket. Michael goes tomorrow, 10/06/20 for surgery to have his life port put in and he begins chemo & radiation Thursday 10/08/20. He will be on this treatment plan for 4 months with a chemo drip bag and targeted radiation 5 times a week. That’s 4 months of tremendous medical bills, extra costs & needs along with continuing to keep his household afloat during this difficult time. Michael loves nothing more than throwing the football in the yard with his kids and playing basketball with them after work To hear the devastation in Michael’s voice when he talks about his anatomy being compromised & knowing he may not be able to have the same mobility is truly heartbreaking. Michael believes just like Matthew 17:20 tells us that having faith as little as a mustard seed can make mountains move. With that said, his doctors are working diligently with an oncologist specialist in New York to try to save Michael’s anatomy and prevent him from having a colostomy bag for the rest of his life. With that comes more expenses for medical, travel, etc. but will change a life! Please help us fight this fight to save Michael’s anatomy. Every penny is greatly appreciated.
