Help Ollie recover from his serious car crash — godparents are matching donations

Help us support our godson Ollie Crowder in his recovery from the serious Nov. 11 car crash that shattered his femur and put him out of work for the foreseeable future.

The Belt family and Beteille family are together matching every dollar you give, up to $5,000. You give $1, we add $1. You give $100, we add $100. Let’s rally together to show Ollie our support and love as a community!

All funds go directly to Ollie. Some of his medical expenses are covered by insurance, but many aren’t, including deductibles, copays, required specialists, extended rehab, and lost income and savings from being unable to work.

What happened Nov. 11

We were all shocked and saddened to find out how Ollie’s world would dramatically change on that Saturday morning.

Ollie was the passenger in a severe car crash that sent him and the driver, his friend Ryan, to the hospital. It’s a miracle they survived.

After being airlifted to the hospital, Ollie started undergoing surgery to repair his shattered femur.

The first few days were scary enough, but now, a week later, Ollie is still in the hospital for more surgeries and procedures.

This is especially heartbreaking only months after Ollie lost his dad. Brian Crowder died suddenly in late August.

Despite that, Ollie had been talking about how excited he was to go back to his job at Target. He was saving up to buy his first truck. He was thinking about traveling to Europe. He’d been enjoying time with friends, and was looking forward to Thanksgiving with his brother, Reid, who was on his way home from college.

Ollie had big 19 year-old plans and dreams.

Now Ollie is facing an unknown path, one filled with months of emotional and physical pain. Instead of working to save money, he’ll be spending time in rehab. Instead of going on adventures with friends, he’ll be spending time with doctors and surgeons.

Ollie and his mom, Beth, have received a humbling outpouring of care and concern — and a desire to help.

That’s where we (Ollie’s Godparents) come in!

We set up this fund to show Ollie how much he is loved, and to support him along the difficult road ahead.

Together, we will be matching gifts up to $5,000. Everything goes straight to Ollie so he can use these funds to make life easier now, and to help make some of his dreams a reality.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions — and thank you all for your support.
