My best friends Emily & Nick got the horrifying news that their home in Sausalito had been destroyed by a fire early the morning of Dec 31. Luckily they were out of town visiting family for the holidays, so no one was harmed, thank God. Firefighters determined it was an electrical fire that likely started due to a power surge caused by the historic rain happening in Northern California. The next few months are going to be incredibly challenging and stressful as they find a new place to live, replace all their belongings, deal with cleanup, etc. while maintaining as much normalcy for their kids (Lucy & Jack) as possible.

I know many people have asked how they can help, so I’m setting up this page for those that have asked to make a contribution to help offset some of the financial and emotional burdens they are facing. Your support will help cover the things that insurance won't and provide resources to help them manage the destruction caused by the fire.

I happened to be visiting with them when they received the news and the amount of strength, resilience, and level-headedness they’ve shown over the past 36 hours has been truly unbelievable. Their lives have been turned upside down and I know we’re all sending the Malones nothing but love and support during this difficult time.
