Last November I became ill. I've had two biopsies, two ultrasounds, an MRI and am expecting a partidge in a pear tree anyday now. Originally told I have stage one endometrial cancer, I have now been told to be prepared for stage three or possibly four because of my symptomology. Last Tuesday I went to see the surgeon and he scared me by asking my symptoms then calling for a surgical date asap. My operation is March 31 and will be a complete hysterectomy.
I have not had the strength to work full time for a couple of months and my funds are low; I do qualify for EI which I can't apply for until after surgery (gah!) but because I haven't been able to work FT the last couple of months, I won't get much.
After surgery they will again do a biopsy on the removed tissue plus I will have a CT scan to make sure there are no tumours hiding inside of me. Doctors words. I'm bucking for stage one but money issues are a major stressor right now. I'm only half joking that I may be homeless to recover!
It was suggested to me to ask for money here. I have donated to people's causes before and it is very humbling to be a beggar. Because that's what I'm doing. Begging for help. Apparently I need a lesson in humility! If everything goes well, I still won't be able to work FT for 6-8 weeks.
