Brett Halcro Recovery

An innocent man - father, son and brother, originally from the Gold Coast, QLD, was brutally and randomly attacked by a gang of up to 10 youths on Friday 31st July, 2020, leaving him blind, permanently disfigured and facing a lifetime of trauma. While making his way home at around 10pm, it is alleged he was set upon by the group who punched him unconscious. While he lay defenceless and unconscious,  they then set about stomping his head before one perpetrator  stabbed at his eye and carved at his face. He was rushed to hospital, operated on and placed in an induced coma. Treatments will be ongoing and rehabilitation will be extensive. 

As difficult as this period is, given the abhorrent  details of the attack, Brett's family is doing their best to focus on the positive human spirit that has been witnessed so far through police, medical and community support. .
