Support Erin's Family Through Tough Times

Hello, my name is Erin Russell. I am the mother of 2 amazing boys. Our world changed in the blink of an eye last year, and it's just been the 3 of us supporting each other through it. I am in need of help at the moment. Long story short, I was hit by a drunk driver in January 2025 while driving for Uber and was unable to work for 3 months. I'm so grateful to have survived, but my memory was greatly affected. I made it home to my kids that night, though, that's all that matters. Insurance has been a nightmare & I wasn't covered by Uber's insurance because I was in between rides.

Once I was cleared to drive, I began Ubering again, but I then came down with 3 major illnesses back to back. Rhabdomyolysis after I tried out to be a correctional officer. I then had a stent placed in my left kidney. After all of that, I thought I would start healing, but unfortunately got a staph infection from my weak immune system and had a terrible reaction to the insanely strong antibiotics. I was in and out of the hospital and had multiple procedures and scans done. That all had me out of work until the middle of May 2025.

I am driving for Uber day and night while looking for a job. I need two jobs to make it. My rent alone is $2600. My goal is to get a second job and just be able to take care of us myself.

I just need help with rent for the next couple of months. I am very actively looking for work. I need time to get on my feet and get some paychecks coming in, and I think I can make it on my own.

My oldest got a job because he's finally old enough and wants to help. I refuse to take his money. I want him to save for his future.

*Update* I did get a job offer from USPS, the background check will take 2-3 weeks, so probably end of June. I finally heard back from one of the many applications I've put out!
