We have an exciting update for you. Due to some generous supporters of the PYPM movement we are closer to our goal and only have another $6,000 to raise.
Help PYPM (Philly Youth Poetry Movement) get to the 18th annual Brave New Voices International Poetry Festival. At the heart of Brave New Voices is a multi-round poetry slam competition, shining a spotlight on young artists, educators, poets, and emerging leaders from around the world. From the quarter finals to the final showdown, this impassioned demonstration of free speech, artistic empowerment, and youth voice will foster a community of dialogue in celebration of “Possibility.”
PYPM is sending 15 young people and 5 mentors to Atlanta from July 15-19 to expand the minds of transformative change agents and young leaders of Philly's brighter tomorrow. With over 60 teams/organizations sharing the stage to become one world changing voice, this is sure to be a transformative experience that will live forever through these young voices of tomorrow.
In addition to the slam competition, BNV participants will have the opportunity to engage in world-class workshops with renowned poets and writers, complete various youth development programs, and discover and develop the skills to become America’s next generation of leaders.
