HeadShave for Rape & Sexual Assault victims in the UK
Hi, my name is Cayla Rodrigues (Indian, 17), and I’m a student at UWC Atlantic, Wales.
I will be shaving my head to raise awareness and funds for Rape Crisis England & Wales, an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence and advocating for justice.
Growing up in India, I’ve been deeply affected by the stories that have surrounded me—stories from family, friends, and countless others, alongside headlines of gang rape, brutal violence, and graphic images that flood social media. The lack of action from those in power only amplifies the sense of helplessness. As a girl in this environment, my understanding of justice and fairness has definitely been shaped by this constant undercurrent of despair, anger, and helplessness.
By shaving my head, I’m taking a stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. This act is not just a symbol—it’s a call to action. I want to honor the courage and resilience of those affected, while raising funds to help them access the support and justice they deserve.
Any amount of donation or even sharing the link for this fundraiser will make an impact! I am extremely grateful for your support of this cause that means so much to me.
