Pyatak Family Support

Donation protected

Dear family and friends,

With the heaviest of hearts, we are making a charity account for my dearest sister in law, Nelya Pyatak, and her family. She passed away today, 9/20/23, at age 47. She left her husband (my brother,) Mikhail and her 10 children: 4 daughters and 6 sons. Her oldest is 27 years old and her youngest just turned 6.

Nelya was diagnosed with leukemia about 4 years ago. After innumerable chemo treatments, she finally received wonderful news that a bone marrow donor was found for her, and 3 years ago she had a bone marrow transplant.

Unfortunately, her body did not accept the donor’s cells as expected. She has been fighting numerous infections and viruses, and has been in and out of the hospital and ICU more times than we can count, especially over this past year. Her immune system was getting weaker and weaker until the infections, combined with medications and antibiotics, damaged her vital organs including kidneys and liver, and they failed.

Nelya was a real fighter. She was fighting to stay alive for her children who were everything for her. She loved and adored her family so dearly! Yet, God had other plans, and took her beautiful soul to rejoice forever in heaven.

Right now she is in peace. Right now she is pain free. Right now she is rejoicing in breathing in without any oxygen support. This very moment she is breathing out freely-something she hasn’t done in a very long time. Right now she is happy.

Between taking care of Nelya and tending to their small children, her husband, Mikhail, has not been able to work in the past few years. If you have it in your heart, please support Nelya’s family financially. All funds will go directly to Nelya’s family. Please also support them by keeping them in your prayers. They are in extreme need at this time and your support will carry them far.

There are no words powerful enough to heal the wound within our hearts today. But we are trusting God and believe that one day we will understand His plan which is always greater and more wonderful than all our disappointments.

Our parting words for Nelya are written in 2 Timothy 4:7-8:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.”
