Help Keep a Roof Over Our Heads

Hello family & friends!

I know so many can relate that it’s been an eventful year and many things have happened, both positive and not so positive. The struggle has been real for my family. It has been 2 weeks since the sudden closure of the restaurant I was working for (The Post Chicken & Beer in Upper Downtown Denver). We were only given a 3-day notice with $200 severance pay after taxes. This was a shock for many and heartbreaking for all as we approached Christmas and the new year. It has been a scramble and lengthy search for rental assistance programs to help, only to be denied or not have my application chosen out of the many they look through. As I await my unemployment claim to be processed and hopefully approved, the due date in which my demand for rent only creeps closer.

I have been blessed with a new job opportunity by mid-January, however, I fear my 6-year-old son and I may not have a place to call home by then.

I am here to kindly ask for any assistance you may be able to offer toward our December rent. Thank you to all!
