Hi, this is Jessica and Erica, long-time friends of Jason Mitchell. If you are close to Jason, you most likely have a surplus of happy memories filled with magic and laughter. You laughed at least once if you've only had a fleeting encounter with him. Apart from being a truly remarkable human being, he also shares his artistic, fashion, and hair skills with the world. On December 2, Jason was admitted to the hospital due to a severe case of pneumonia that resulted in an infection outside of his lungs and moved into his blood. On December 8, a lung decortification procedure was carried out to remove the infection due to this serious condition. A later surgical procedure was required on Dec. 18 to remove a lung abscess, where they removed 1/3–2/3 of Jason’s lung. He is in the hospital right now, getting better, but soon he will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility, where he will stay for one to three weeks.

Jason will recover, but the road will be long. When he returns home, he will need time to heal. This means he will be unable to work until his lungs and body are functioning at full capacity; therefore, he will need help covering expenses.
