After 1.5 months of trying to figure out what was going on with Nova, our vet found one of her kidneys is essentially a big tumor. In one week she will be getting surgery to remove that kidney, and we are hoping the cancer hasn’t spread. Depending on what type of cancer it is and if it has spread, she could have anywhere from 9 months to a few years left. At 13, she’s not a young pup but she is still so active and full of life. I think I have to give her this chance of more good months and years.

It’s been emotionally exhausting with all of the vet visits and incorrect diagnoses, so I’m thankful to have an answer now. It’s also been a financial strain, and surgery will be about $5,000. If you are able and feel so inclined to help me out with this next step, I would be incredibly grateful!
