Hello, our friend Erin started a go-fund-me for Jesus and me, she didn't have a go-fund-me account, nor is she on the 'socials', so I posted it for her. I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart many are learning about the accident from this page, please understand how overwhelmed we have been since the accident. Here is our story...
Jesus and Cindy Soriano of Bozeman, Montana traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to visit family for the holidays and ring in the new year together, after which they expected to return home.
Many of you know Jesus Soriano to be a hardworking, loyal and loving friend. For the last 16 years, he has gone above and beyond to help the people around him. Whether it's offering to aid in the building of a deck, make salsa or rub your feet, it would be hard to find a person he hasn’t offered to help. Jesus is known for his attention to detail and his “OX” like strength. Bozeman is a beautiful place that Jesus proudly calls home, and his personal stamp can be seen all over the valley. Jesus married a Bozeman native Cindy Gaworski (Soriano) on July 4th, 2008, in the yard of her folks’ home, Mary and Clancy Gaworski. Together they have worked relentlessly to improve the lives of the less fortunate.
Sadly, due to the irresponsibility of an intoxicated driver on New Year's Eve, Jesus won’t be “beautifying Bozeman” until further notice from his team of doctors. Jesus was the victim of aggravated assault on 12/31/22 in Gilbert Arizona. On Saturday afternoon, Jesus’s wife of 15 loving years met her sister before Jesus and Cindy drove north to ring in the year with some friends. Cindy dropped off Jesus to meet up with a friend while she visited with her sister, Jesus was to be dropped off just 45 minutes later.
When Jesus’s friend didn’t drop him off, she started calling him and his friend and when neither of them answered after several calls, Cindy logged into her life 360 app and not being familiar with the area, plugged in the location on her car’s navigation and headed towards him. As she got closer, she noticed she was being passed by police cars, ambulances and fire trucks. As she neared his blue dot, provided by the app, she noticed it was oddly close to the chaos on the freeway ahead. As she got closer her worst fears were confirmed, his blue dot was in the middle of the chaos. As Cindy approached, she recalls thinking “no one could have survived that crash.” At a second glance, she realized THAT was the car Jesus’s friend had been driving, and her heart stopped.
Jesus was transferred to the Chandler Regional Trauma Center where Jesus remained in the ICU for 4 days. Jesus sustained multiple traumatic injuries including a brain bleed, a broken sternum, a large hematoma over his heart, and several bruised ribs.
Jesus is now receiving home care from his wife Cindy at her mother’s home in Phoenix. Jesse and Cindy will remain in Phoenix for several more weeks as he is unable to travel in his current condition. Jesus is unable to work for the unforeseeable future during his recovery and is potentially facing surgery once he’s more stable to repair damages sustained in the accident.
This go fund me was set up to help with Jesus’s medical costs, their extended stay in Arizona, and their anticipated travel back and forth to Arizona for doctor visits with his team of medical providers. The medical costs and impacts of lost wages due to this tragedy have placed a financial burden on Jesus and his wife. If you are able, please contribute to this go fund me, and/or share this post on your page.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, as well as sharing this post. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for your compassion and generosity.
