Hello,
My name is Kaia Gleason and I was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. I am currently a Freshman at the Sitka High School. I have recently appplied to be a foreign exchange student through the Sitka Rotary Club. I am delighted to say I was accepted as the student who will represent Sitka! In January, I will travel to Anchorage with other foreign exchange students to find out what country I will be assigned to for my sophmore year. I am very honored and excited to have this opportunity.
The Rotary Club graciouly covers $5,000 of my trip. My responsibility is $7,500. This money will go towards my roundtrip airfare, insurance, travel documents, and spending money. My host family will generously provide room and board.
My first payment of $2,467 was made on the first of December by my mom and me. We have two more payments of $2,467 due March 15th, and then again on June 15th. All funds need to be paid by the June 15th deadline in order to make my trip possible.

It would mean so much to recive your support to help make my foreign exchange possible.
Together we can help build friendships and better understandings of our world. We can learn to share cultural differences and embrace trying new things.
My dream is to help build a world where children grow up with acceptance instead of predjudice. I would forever be thankful to be able to be a part of making this a better, more peaceful world. I know I will return full of knowledge and new friendships, proud to have been an embassador of my small hometown of Sitka.
Thank you so much for your help and support and for believing in me.
Sincerely,
Kaia Gleason
