Hello, I am Catina Gabriel's Step Mom. Gabriel is 12 years old. He was diagnosed on 8/18/2023 with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Monday we noticed tiny spots on him (petechiae) and said we will keep an eye on it. Tuesday he had a half-hour nosebleed. Wednesday made a doctor's appointment because the tiny spots had spread from neck to feet. Thursday doctors/bloodwork. Thursday night the blood work came back we were told to go to the children's hospital. He was admitted early hours of Friday morning. By Friday we received the diagnosis. By Monday 8/21/2023 he had his port catheter implanted, bone marrow biopsy, and an injection of chemo into his spine. Later that Monday he had his first chemo treatment.
