The devastation in the Amazon over the last 20 days has caused irreparable damage to the "Lungs of the World". It is estimated the damage in Bolivia alone will take 2 centuries to repair. The Bolivian Government is of no help.
Volunteers in Bolivia are working with fumigation planes dropping water and fire trucks. People are doing whatever they can to stop the spreading of this giant fire that has already consumed almost A MILLION HECTARES of forest. Volunteers need gloves, helmets, safety goggles, fireproof clothing, eye drops, flashlights, small chainsaws, medicine and many other supplies to keep fighting the fire. The money raised here will go directly to the purchase and delivery of those supplies to the volunteers. I am working with Sara Fuertes from the VIVA Foundation. She is the head coordinator on their internal relief mission and is in charge of receiving the funds. ( I personally know her) She will be purchasing the materials needed and taking them to CEPAD- (COED proved not to be as reliable) Please scroll through all our announcement pictures. We are making REAL progress!!
They are accepting donations indefinitely. PLEASE HELP!!
I will continue to transfer funds received indefinitely.
There is a long road ahead , so please know that you can keep donating and it will go to continuing to aid in the stopping of the fire, and hopefully soon, repair.
If you would like your donation to go directly to aid the precious animals that have been hurt and displaced by the fires, pleases so in the comments. Those donations will be spent to by the supplies shown in the second picture.
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! Please help. This isn't a Bolivian problem, or a South American problem, this is a WORLD WIDE PROBLEM. We CANNOT let the Amazon disappear.
The Amazon houses 350 Indigenous Groups, 2,200 species of animals, 2,500 Marine species, 6.7 Million KM2 of forest, 1,000,000 KM of fresh watering accounts for 20% of the World's OXYGEN!!!!
It is up to all of us to help.
