Dean is our 6 year old son, he’s a crazy and energetic kid with one of the biggest personalities I and anyone else who meets him has ever seen!
Unfortunately, Tuesday (3/17/26) Dean was involved in a horrific lawnmower accident. This resulted in the permanent loss of two of his toes, major damage to his big toe and fourth toe, and a break along his pinky toe. Dean may still lose that fourth toe, but much is to be decided by the surgeon later.
This accident has landed him in Randall Children’s Hospital, where he’s been for almost a week already, and has already had two surgeries. He still has at least one more surgery (for a skin graft) before he can come home but he has a very long road ahead of him with more surgeries, more skin grafts, physical therapy and later, relearning to walk.
This has put Dean’s dad out of work for the foreseeable future, as he’s been with Dean the entire time while I (Dean’s mom) have been back and forth trying to get a room and home ready for Dean to come back to that will fit his new needs.
We’re hoping to grow funds for Dean’s dad, myself and Dean to be able to cover bills, medical expenses and some things that’ll make Dean’s recovery easier and a little more fun since he cannot walk or put weight on his injured foot for 6+ weeks.
Every donation is appreciated and goes to helping this little boy heal the best way he can!
