Leiomyosarcoma is a rare form of cancer. The cancer cells grow and multiply abnormally to form a tumor in the smooth muscle tissue of the body.

Only six out of a million women diagnosed with cancer suffer from this very rare form. And our very rare and special wife/daughter/sister/mom/friend was sadly one of them.

We want to turn this into something positive. It was important to my mom that she make a difference. She donated her body to science in hopes that may find a treatment and a cure.

She was lucky enough to be treated by the worlds leading expert of this rare cancer, Dr. Martee Hensley at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

In lieu of flowers, my mom wanted donations to be made to help Dr. Hensley and the Sarcoma All-iance Organization with their research.
