Hi, I am Anna and I am fundraising for the lovely and most selfless person I know. My daughter is one of the special needs child she takes care.

I am going to let Janel explain her story in her own workd.

About 18 years ago I started getting some pretty serious pain, but kept on working and working for many years until I couldn't take it anymore. I spent thousands of dollars trying to get answers why I hurt all over my body. No doctor could give me answers and just prescribed pain medicine. The only diagnosis I ever got was from a Rheumatologist saying I had "Fibromyalgia." I kept on thinking to myself, if this is Fibromyalgia then I'm going to be in a wheelchair soon because the pain was excruciating. I had worked my way up to an Executive Chef and running kitchens in Colorado, but ended up quiting and moving closer to my mom because she was worried about me being alone. I started taking care of special needs children, but still couldn't get answers from anyone about my pain until I lost my eyesight at work. I ended up in the hospital for a few days, but ended up in the ICU in Houston to get answers. I was diagnosed with a rare disease Pseudotumor Cerebri and it was definitely rare for me because it's usually in extremely obese people. My optic nerve pressures were the highest my Neuro Opthamalogist had ever seen in his career. My Neurosurgeon said that the brain stops draining my spinal fluid naturally and they don't have a cure. They ended up putting me into emergency surgery and placed a VP shunt. It was such a long recovery and I had no idea if I would get my vision back, but by the grace of God most of it came back. Once I recovered it was the best I've felt in many years. It's been 3 and half years and something happened. All of a sudden I have terrible pain and my chord (shunt) was pulling extremely hard and it was difficult to raise my head straight. I ended up going back to the Neurosurgeon I found in Pensacola and the 3 part of my shunt has detached and is listing in the bottom of my abdomen. They are going to have to replace the whole thing. I cant believe I have to do it again, but there is always someone worse off.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to her story. She need this money to pay the mortgage so she doesn't losse her house. Also she needs food and help paying utilities and food to survive. She can't work now because of the pain and she can't work for 6 months after the surgery.

If you can't donate. Please just keep her in your prayers.

Thank you
Anna
