My name is Alastair Johnson, I’m an architect from London, and an amateur runner. On October 19th, I’ll be running the Amsterdam Marathon, not just for the challenge, but to raise urgent funds and awareness for the people of Gaza.
Like many, I’ve been deeply affected by what’s happening there. Entire communities have been reduced to rubble. Families are being torn apart. Over a million people have been displaced. There’s a desperate shortage of food, clean water, and medical care, and those trying to help are being blocked or bombed. It is nothing short of diabolical.
This is not just a crisis. It’s a deliberate, sustained assault on life.
This run is a way of standing in solidarity, and I'm asking you to join me. We all to need to help and this run is about doing something, however small, to help those who need it most. Your donation will literally be life-saving.
Your donation will go directly to the MATW Project, a trusted humanitarian organisation providing lifesaving aid on the ground: emergency food parcels, water, medical supplies, and shelter. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help save a life.
Please give whatever you can. Every step I take on race day will be powered by your compassion and solidarity.
Thank you for standing with Gaza.
