Hi we are the Twist family and this is our story.

Sadly on the 17.4.2022 our father suffered a life changing stroke at the young age of 64. He recently moved from city life to the east coast which was his life long dream, where he had the perfect job as a touring warden on a local camp site. He took pride and in his new role where he was loved and respected by all his colleagues and most of all he loved helping the tourers that visited his camp site.

Colin has since been discharged from hospital to start the very long journey to recovery but needs intense therapy to help him get back on his feet. Most of all Colin needs the speech and language therapy team but due to the immense pressures of the NHS sadly there is a long wait to receive this treatment which is delaying his urgent rehabilitation. The NHS team have advised us that there is a private service for this treatment but due to Colin’s tragic stroke and been unable to work, funds are not readily available causing further stress and worries to the family.

We are reaching out to family and friends to ask for a small donation so Colin can find his voice again so we can arrange speech and language therapy through the private service.

We just want our Colin back to the man we all love, cherish and respect.
